NHS and Healthcare Services

Trinity PR works with a growing number of clients providing healthcare services into the NHS including out-of-hospital care and hi-tech medical equipment and systems.

For example, we run the corporate PR and campaigns programme for Omnicell – a leading provider of medication and supply management solutions including automated medication dispensing cabinets to the global healthcare market. We recently launched a digital and trade media campaign ‘Ready for GS1’ which aimed to help hospitals to meet the minimum GS1 standards required by the Department of Health for inventory management by 2019/20.  Trinity PR created and implemented the news campaign including infographics, a series of advertorial placements as well as editorial coverage in leading trade titles to help reach key influencers.

We also work alongside Totally Health Ltd – a specialist provider of Clinical Health Coaching services delivered via the NHS. We regularly develop media case studies to demonstrate the impact of the service including reduction in unplanned admissions to A&E following successful evaluations of projects with NHS partners such as Hartlepool and Stockton CCG and Leicester City CCG.

Healthcare Technology

While some may argue that healthcare is late to the “digital party”, there is no doubting that health tech is now a rapidly expanding sector. Trinity PR’s business is closely involved with companies pioneering developments in this area. We work on a range of ventures across the sector, from ambitious start-ups launching new products into market, to established players extending their portfolio.

We understand the challenges faced by health tech companies entering a fast-paced and competitive market place and the need to develop proactive and creative PR campaigns to deliver strong editorial results.

The Agency recently implemented a full service PR and social media campaign to support the launch of a revolutionary new smartphone app – myGP™ – developed by London based Health Tech specialist iPLATO. Commissioned by NHS England, the app helps speed up access to care by allowing patients to securely book and/or cancel appointments remotely on their ‘smartphone’ phone.

Positive new pieces and thought-leadership features across health care trade titles including GP online, Digital Health Age and News Medical reached around 5 million key influencers. Following the PR launch campaign myGP™ by iPLATO has been the most downloaded medical app in the UK in recent months.

Social Care

With an ageing population, the increasing need for care and support services for older people means that the care sector remains a much discussed topic in the media. With consumers facing complex future health needs and care options there is a need for concise and informative communications to promote best practice and good news stories from within the industry.

At Trinity PR we work with clients across the sector from residential care homes, to independent living providers and manufacturers of specialist equipment and assistive technology to improve quality of life and reduce ill health. Clients include Aspects2 (residential care for people with learning disabilities, complex requirements and mental health needs), ProMedica24 (live-in care to support independent living) and Apex Medical (manufacturers of dynamic mattresses to reduce pressure ulcers).

The shift towards enabling more people to live independently in their own homes has also seen an increase in the importance of assistive technology (AT). This year, the team at Trinity PR is working to promote Naidex, the UK’s leading event for the Independent Living and Disability sector (26-28 April 2016). Trinity will be running the press office at the event, seeking out the latest news stories from the packed CPD programme, as well as selecting the latest products and technologies from show’s popular Innovation Trail. Naidex 2016 partners include the National Wheelchair Managers Association (NWMF), Posture and Mobility Group (PMG), the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) and the College of Occupational Therapists (COT).

OTC & Consumer Health

Trinity PR has developed and managed a number of creative campaigns to target both trade and consumer media for large house-hold brands such as Sanatogen, Rennie and Feminax.

Our work in this area has seen us utilise a range of PR tactics to launch new products, manage POM to P switches and maintain awareness for long established brands. For example, we have orchestrated a brand ambassador partnership with Dr Miriam Stoppard for nappy rash ointment Bepanthen, managed celebrity sampling for Berocca, created digital campaigns to reach young women for Canesten, and introduced new period pain treatment Feminax Ultra to the UK market.

Charity & Not For Profit

We have a strong heritage working with charities and not-for-profit organisations including The Dyspraxia Foundation, Cardiac Risk in the Young, Pancreatic Cancer UK and The Pelican Cancer Trust. We manage and promote annual awareness campaigns, cause-related marketing partnerships, celebrity liaison, as well as supporting charity parliamentary and public affairs initiatives.

We have worked alongside the pioneering charity, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) since 2013 and now take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of its busy press office, all media relations, campaign development and strategic counsel.

As illustrated above a recent project for long-standing client, The Dyspraxia Foundation [“Is it a battle of the sexes?: Dyspraxia Awareness Week 2015] saw a huge return on investment for a relatively small charity but one which really “punches above its weight” (with over 20,000 Facebook fans and 9,000 Twitter followers).

A targeted media relations programme saw coverage on BBC “Woman’s Hour”, “You” magazine, The Huffington Post and a range of educational publications, with an audience reach of over 3 million and an estimated advertising value equivalent, AVE (excluding online sites and local radio) of around £50,000.

Hospitals & Clinics

Trinity has worked as the Harley Street Fertility Clinic’s (HSFC) retained PR agency since 2012 with the aim of raising the organisation’s profile amongst consumers and healthcare professionals alike to help increase patient referrals. The programme involves running the Clinic’s press office, as well as promoting HSFC’s range of fertility treatments and services to target media.

Activity includes; issuing expert comment to national and broadcast media to ‘piggy-back’ on the media agenda,  placing patient case study features, topical news stories and raising awareness of key fertility issues in a mix of media including online, women’s  consumer press, parenting and Asian magazines.

Trinity’s credentials in this area also include working with the UK’s largest independent hospital, The London Clinic, as their retained agency for over 7 years.  We managed an ongoing media crisis programme, as well as promoting cutting-edge treatments such as CyberKnife and the da Vinci Robot.  We have also helped to launch new ventures such as the £90 million pioneering The London Clinic cancer centre, Newlife, a fertility centre based in Surrey and Harley Street’s The London Orthopaedic Clinic.

Medical Devices & Equipment

Innovations in medical devices, surgical equipment and medical solutions are increasingly changing the face of UK healthcare for medical professionals and patients alike. Trinity PR has been fortunate to work with some of the world’s leading manufacturers and distributors of medical and surgical equipment, including campaigns for healthcare automation and medication adherence specialists Omnicell.  In fact, Omnicell’s Let’s Take Care of It campaign, co-ordinated by Trinity, was nominated for a CIPR North West PRide Award 2016 for Best Healthcare Campaign.

Recently, the team worked with Clement Clarke International, worldwide manufacturer of innovative medical instrumentation in the respiratory sector, to launch its single use DispozABLE™ Spacer. Trinity PR was recruited to create a campaign to raise awareness of this scientifically reviewed device for the safe and prompt treatment of school age children suffering acute asthma. Educating key audiences including school nurses, school office staff and parents about the risks of not using the correct device and providing clear guidance on dealing with emergency situations for children and young people was central to the message. New data, presented at the International Society for Aerosols in Medicine (ISAM) conference (Munich, 30 May – 3 June 2015) provided the news hook for the UK national media launch, resulting in significant interest in the educational trade and consumer media as well as amongst patient groups, such as Asthma UK.
